Happy New Year

Today is New Years Eve and we are headed to the Church to have some strange New Year’s Eve party.  Last week all of us sang in a choir thing for church and the whole service was in German and you would guess Sarah tried to translate the children’s story and it was an epic fail!  It was so funny either the story was wacked or Sarah’s translation was.  Here is the beginning, there was once a farmer and you know what animals lived on the farm? Children: pigs, chickens, giraffes, and lions.  Well there was a lion and the farmer’s women had a special relationship with this lion. Somehow this woman ended up in the hospital and the man wanted to take the lion to visit his woman so he put the lion in a suitcase and punched holes in it. Me: what in the world how big is this suitcase? And how big is the lion?  Anywho this man took the lion to the hospital and let it out of the suitcase and it jumped on the woman and licked her face off.  By this time we were laughing so hard that I really didn’t hear the ending or the moral of this story.  We were sitting on the front row of the church since we were singing and here we are laughing so hard and probably making everyone think that I was a very ill-mannered person.  Oh wait Sarah just told me that the moral was that in heaven we won’t eat each other just like the lion didn’t eat the wife.  So church was very eventful.

So we have been walking around all kinds of cities in these pass few day.  We drove to the Italian part and went through that really long tunnel in Switzerland, Gotthard Tunnel 17 KM, so we walked around there where Timon had to go to the army than on another day we went to Luzern and walked around there I found a new charm for my bracelet and walked along this beautiful lake called Vierwaldstaettersee I know it is a horrible name I had to get Sarah to type it.  And on all these walks and other adventures Sarah, Timon and I just stick together since the other Michael and Anja and freaking dating and no one wanted to be a third wheel.  Of course I love this cuz it means that I just talk and flirt with Timon and take pictures with Sarah.  It is the best of both worlds.  Sarah and I are headed back to Luzern before we go to the Church for this party, Timon is driving us and Sarah thinks he is a horrible driver so either I will fall in love or be scared out of my mind. Here we go!

Christmas in Switzerland

Here we are!

If any of you know that you better have kids or be bored out of you mind at home.  I am here in Switzerland at Sarah’s house with her wonderful parents, super nice brother and his girlfriend and super hot brother: single.

Yesterday I caught my plane at 7:00 in the morning, after staying up all night just cuz, I almost missed it, the gate was suppose to close at 7:05 and I arrived there around 7:06 almost ran over all the people on the lifts and walking conveyer belt things.  When I got to the airport I received a stamp in my passport saying that I arrived in Switzerland and then had to wait in the airport until Michael and his girlfriend came and got me.  Even though I was so tired with spurts of energy we went to see Basel which none of us had ever visited.  There were the most amazing allies that were lined with such swiss houses.  Never mind me explaining it, I will just find a picture.

After parking and getting something to eat we explored the Christmas market, there was everything you could imagine there, strange tie dye candles, roasted nuts and all kinds of food.  I was so tired so not much of it stuck and we didn’t really take our time so it is mostly a blur.

Christmas Eve we had a truly Abramovic meal, all six courses!  We started eating at 2 and didn’t finish till midnight it was so much and each person had to create a dish so sarah and I were in charge of salad since that was the only one left.  For starters we had salmon on bread, then salad, soup, spaghetti, sorbet and goose.  It was so much food and I was so stuffed!  But to work it all off we went for a walk and then to midnight mass, my very first, in freaking German and I learned to cross myself the right way.

The very best part though is that my parents the ones who wouldn’t send me anything to save their lives.  Got in touch with Sarah got her mailing address and mailed me a Christmas present all the way from Canada to Switzerland all without me knowing or Sarah hinting.  The very best friend ever!  I was so shocked and so happy thank you so much mom and dad!  Michael recorded it so I will probably put it on facebook when I get the time.  Best Christmas ever!  Mines not knowing what anyone is talking about at any time.

Alone at Last

The bad thing about me blogging is that I will go for a long time and not write anything but then I put something down and all I want to do is write it all in a matter of a few days.   So here I am writing my second entry in a week.

Well as you now know I am at school for a week by myself with none of my friends and not even in my own room.  Because the English are crazy every Christmas all the dorm kids have to pack up all their things put them in storage and go home.  Even if they are coming back for the following semester.  Here was the plan, I move in with nancy in to room 21 and catlin and morgan live in 22 beside us.  When catlin moved out the next day I was to move in with morgan until she lift the day after that.  Where than I would possible have to move again or get a roommate.  But I said “ummm that is crazy why don’t I just move into the room with morgan, she will leave and then I stay where I am until I leave” so now that is the new plan.

So here I am living in a strange room with a very moldy shower, so bad that I have forgone a shower for the past two days, don’t worry I have deodorant and perfume. Hahaha, No I snuck back into my old room and took a shower just now so we are all good.  Being alone does have its perks, I have not worn make up for the past 5 days and there is no need to get out of bed since there is no classes studying or friends to judge you.  Except the strange thing is that now that I am as free as a bird I end up waking up at 9 and going to bed at 10 you would think I was still in school.  Funny how that body works some times.

A Couple Days Later

Well I am sitting in my bed at 2 in the morning, my plane leaves at 7 and I have to get up at 4 so what does Michel do? She pulls an all nighter.  Why not?  Well I am leaving for Christmas holiday, first Sarah’s house in the wonderful Swiss Alps, well not really but Switzerland isn’t that big so I can stretch the truth, than off to Poland where I will fulfill one of my long time wishes.  I will be going to Auschwitz, I know that sounds really creepy but I have been fascinated with the history for a long time so it was top on my list.  I don’t really know what I will be doing at Sarah’s but I do know that I will be getting fat with all the food, and enjoying the company very much!

Wish Me Luck

The Nutcracker

I want to tell you all about the Nutcracker which Sarah and I just came back from on Thursday ok so we didn’t just come back but we will just pretend like we did.  Sarah and I caught the train with John who is a man whore really, but super nice and wonderful, so we forgive him.  When we got to London we had to run over to John’s apartment to print out the tickets cuz brilliant me forgot them on my desk.  When you go to a show don’t forget the tickets they are kind of a big deal....just a side note.
After printing and arriving at the Coliseum we found our seats literally surrounded by children from random schools.  And sarah who is a child hater hahaha was so mad. Sorry sarah!  Anywho you could totally tell which schools were public and which were private.   There where that school with the teachers wearing yellow vests, others who wore pearls and the inbetweeners who looked like average teachers.  When the curtain came up all the kids started to scream and then I realized why sarah hates kids they were such a bother.  Oh well the dancing was wonderful and the music spectacular.  I was in awe for most of the second half because of all the wonderful costumes and so many dancers.   All I could thing about was that here where at least 24 people on stage who had followed their dreams and become dancers even though many people probably told them that  same old saying “how many people do you know who go on to become professional?”  well I can tell you who all those people who were performing the Nutcracker in London.
It made me want to follow my dream of becoming a mermaid.  Well it could always happen.....
When the Waltz of the snowflakes came around it started to snow and all these little fairies came out with their tutus and were so synchronized they all jumped together and when they came down you could hear the wood in their shoes hit the ground all together which sounded really funny.
Between them and the pink spring fairies it was worth the £ 10.
All in all though the performance was wonderful and I was so happy that I was able to see it for myself and not with a class.  Also that Sarah was with me which made it all the more fun, thanks Sarah.

SARAH ABRAMOVIC DON’T YOU DARE READ THIS!!

Now sarah if you are reading this even though the title says DON’T I won’t hate you but just prepare yourself for the story of you super hot brother. And you can’t get annoyed because this is your own fault.  Love ya!

Last weekend or so Sarah’s brother came to visit her, bringing along his friend.  Harmless sentence right? Well for the ones who know me you know it is packed with juicy gossip, no I don’t like that word, juicy stories about two boys who came to visit my best friend which really means they came to visit her and I would tag along.

They arrived late Thursday after sarah and I had come back from the classical spectacular which was the best concert I had ever gone to by far! Sarah texts me at 2 in the morning asking if I want to go to London but I don’t get it till I wake up in the morning by which time they are long gone, but no matter I would see them that night at vespers and I was going to look HOT.  Apparently Sarah came in to wake me up and ask her if I wanted to go but in my sleep I told her to go away with some crazy hand gestures.  To funny!
Our meeting wasn’t as wonderful as I hoped for, no fireworks or professions of true love but I did sit beside him, both then and while we were watching a movie that night.

His friend that he had brought was Matthew and he was a total spaz. I think he had major ADD but I didn’t say anything.  While on the train the next day he “fell asleep” on my shoulder and was stroking my hand under the cover of his fluffy jacket! He was super strange but it was only for 4 days. And he was usually mad at something anyway so it was all good.

The weekend was really fun and I was super happy to be able to have a pre met with Timon so that when I got there at Christmas it wouldn’t be really awkward.  But I can say that I am looking forward to Sarah’s house tons more now than I was before.

Now it might look like not much happened that weekend but it was just a ton of funny, little fun times that made it all great and if I took the time to write them all down it would probably end up looking like a police report, so you will just have to trust me that it was wonderful.

I really miss all of you and hope that your holidays are off to a good start, and even though I say I am looking forward to Sarah’s house it will not be that same as decorating my room with sarah, being home for Christmas, or spending time with my family baking, well I’m the only one who does that, playing settlers, except without Lucien. Ok I will just miss being in the same house as my family. And little Maggie.  Love you all and Merry Christmas
